Monster Hunter's Flagship Monster

Generally, there are some monsters in Monster Hunter which have showed up as advertisement of the game and has an important part on the game and the story line...These are a Monster that have been an Icon in the Monster Hunter Video Game, called Flagship Monster:

1.  Rathalos

Flagship Monster in:
Monster Hunter
Monster Hunter Portable
Monster Hunter Freedom

Rathalos are medium to large-sized flying wyverns, with their most notable features being their crimson appearance and huge fire patterned wings. Rathalos inhabit many areas; they are most commonly found in the Forest & Hills, along with the Volcanic zone and the Swamp zone. In Monster Hunter 3 they can be found in the Volcano and Deserted Island.
Rathalos spend most of their time fighting while airborne. This ability to live in the strangest and harshest of climates makes the Rathalos renowned far and wide as the King of the Wyverns. So far Rathalos have appeared in every single Monster Hunter game in the series, even including the spin-off MH Diary: Poka Poka Felyne Village.
There are two Rathalos subspecies; an Azure variant inhabiting the same zones as its red cousin, and a more solitary subspecies, the Silver Rathalos, that inhabits a far more secluded area, the ancient Tower, as well as the Swamp zone occasionally. All Rathalos are male with a female counterpart known as the Rathian.
Rathalos have a whole variety of attacks, ranging from burning the hunter with a set of three fireballs from the air, to their incredibly deadly poison scratch, which leaves the hunter both poisoned and stunned.

2.  Azure Rathalos

Flagship Monster in:
Monster Hunter G

Azure Rathalos, also known as Blue Rathalos, is a subspecies of Rathalos whose shell has a bluish green color, and has higher stamina, as well as being more aggressive. Azure Rathalos is most commonly encountered in the Forest & Hills - however, it can also be found in the Volcanic Areas.
Azure Rathalos' Scales and Shells can be used to make a substantially more powerful version of Rathalos armor, although they both exhibit the same weaknesses to Dragon. The various armor sets made from Azure Rathalos materials are highly prized and valued.
Its wings are more difficult to damage than the other Rathalos color variants; however, like Rathalos, its head is its most vulnerable area, and will take more damage regardless of weapon type. Also, its charge has improved homing capabilities, and it hovers in the air to attack more than the normal Rathalos. It also has a tendency to stop and turn after a charge, unlike the normal Rathalos. As such diving is not recommended to dodge his charge as he may do it a second time.

Azure Rathalos is the flagship monster of Monster Hunter G.

3.  Kushala Daora

Flagship Monster in:
Monster Hunter 2 DOS

Kushala Daora is a wind-type Elder Dragon armed with a great variety of attacks: The Daora's most common element-based attack is its wind breath that can freeze the hunter if it is in the Snowy Mountains. Other living habitats include the Jungle, Desert and the Town. Kushala Daora is the flagship monster of Monster Hunter 2 and appears in the opening movie and cover of the box.A typical Kushala has silver-colored skin constructed of a unique ore grown naturally by the Dragon. The rarer Kushala is one whose metalic skin has rusted to form a dark brown/red crust covering the skin. This skin is (at a later date) shed in a similar fashion to that of snakes, to reveal a softer shinier grey.
Hunters usually fight their first Kushala in the 4* Elder Quests (The Frozen Dictator).

4.  Tigrex

Flagship Monster in:
Monster Hunter Portable 2
Monster Hunter Freedom 2

Tigrex is a Pseudowyvern known for its highly aggresive nature. The Tigrex lives in the desert and migrates to the Snowy Mountains to feast on Popos, which seems to be its prefered food. They are visibly recognizable by the orangish-yellow skin with blue stripes.
As pseudowyverns, their wings have evolved into forelegs, which makes them very fast, but they only fly when moving to another zone. When coming from a high area, they drop straight down, rather than slowly hovering down like most Wyverns. When they don't see the hunter, however, they may slowly hover down.
In Monster Hunter Frontier, Season 9.0, Tigrex is considerably improved. It now has slightly enlarged horns and is missing one eye; it also has several new attacks, including: a tail-brush, where it wipes its tail in a 180 degree arc behind itself; a vastly improved roar, which covers a far greater area; a frenzied series of agile leaps; a double 360 degree body spin; and finally a triple forward bite.

5.  Nargacuga

Flagship Monster in:
Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

Nargacuga is the main, and flagship, monster of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. It looks vaguely similar to the Tigrex, (the flagship monster of Monster Hunter Freedom 2), but fights in a significantly different way. Also infamously known for its bladed wings and tail slams.
It has black scales, black fur and nightmarish red eyes, giving it the look and style of a predatory black panther. Its dark, feral appearance suggests that it may mainly be a nocturnal predator. This wyvern has been sighted within the Great Forest at night and daytime, Jungle, and also the Old Swamp. When it's in rage mode its eyes glow bright red and leave a trail of reddish lines when Nargacuga moves. Also, its tail erects large spikes which can be flung and linked up with its attacks for devastating hits. Their vertebrae and tail muscles are extremely flexible, making the tail of Nargacuga also prehensile. Its tail is also its most powerful weapon. The scales at the end of the tail can also be shaken to produce rattling sounds similar to a rattle snake's.
Like Akantor, they are surprised by the shock of sound (Sonic Bombs, Barrel Bombs, etc.) which will make them enter rage mode as soon as they recover.
Like the Tigrex, Narga's face can be broken, as can its wings can be cut. If Narga's tail has been damaged enough, it can be cut off, but only during a state of Rage. It is also immune to Pitfall Traps unless it is in Rage Mode or put to sleep.

6.  Lagiacrus

Flagship Monster in:
Monster Hunter 3 (Tri)

Lagiacrus is a blue Leviathan that mostly dwells in the sea/deep bodies of water and comes onto beaches to sunbathe. It has a hood-like crest on its neck to aid in sunbathing. The dermal spikes on its back glow white when it is using strong thunder attacks, and its mouth gurgles with Thunder when it is enraged. Lagiacrus is found only at the Deserted Island and Flooded Forest. It is most at home in the water, but also is more than capable of fighting on land.
When a Lagiacrus is fully sunbathed, it turns a dry grayish-blue color and its dermal spikes turn a pale red, such as in the picture below. When it returns to the water, Lagiacrus regains a striking deep blue color and its spikes return to their original color of a very light beige.

7.  Jinouga

Flagship Monster in:
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd

Jinouga is the flagship monster for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. It is also known as the Thunder Wolf Wyvern. Jinouga is classified as a Fanged Wyvern Species, a new class of monsters that are neither Pelagus or Flying Wyvern.Jinouga has incredibly developed strong limbs, sharp fangs and claws. Its front limbs are extremely powerful and can kill prey in one brutal blow. Despite its hulking size, Jinouga is very agile and is able to perform many impressive maneuvers. The spikes on its body mostly lie straight against its body, but when it has built up an electric charge, they stand out straight into the air. If attacked enough it loses the electric charge and becomes much less aggressive and wary with its movements. This lasts until it can build up another charge. If the charge is lost, Jinouga will gather energy in order to increase its attack power. During this idling state, Jinouga becomes open to attacks. Hunters have approximately 6-7 seconds to stagger Jinouga and cancel the process. This happens in two stages, first a weaker preliminary charge, then the stronger charge. Attacking Jinouga during its second charge is risky, as it will summon large bolts of lightning after it is done charging.

8.  Bracchidios

Bracchidio is a new monster set to make an appearance on Monster Hunter 3 G for the 3DS. It is purple in coloring, apart from the bright green plasma/slime-tipped arms and horn. Belonging to the Brute Wyvern monster class, it lives in the harsh environment of the Volcano. It attacks by swiping its powerful arms at hunters and slamming the ground with its arms, creating green jelly-like puddles. The puddles gradually turn to a red hue before exploding and appear to have sticky properties. It is also capable of smashing its horn directly at the ground, creating an explosion that covers a large area in front of it. Also unusual to a Brute Wyvern, it has enough leg muscle to leap sizable distances. Its arms take on a more yellow appearance when enraged, leading to the puddles also exploding faster from the increased body heat.
